Linking your Aadhaar Card to DBTL for LPG Subsidy
Linking your Aadhaar Card to the DBTL scheme makes it easier for you to receive your LPG subsidy along with other benefits. Here is all the information you need.
What is DBTL?
DBTL stands for Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG subsidy. The scheme which is managed by the Government of India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas began in 2014 across some districts. Since 1 January 2015, it has been made available in all districts across the country.
DBTL is a part of the government’s wider Direct Benefit Transfer initiative. The programme allows for benefits and subsidies to be transferred directly to the recipient’s bank account. This is a drive to ensure that the citizens that need it most receive support without delays.
The key thing to remember is that you need to hold a bank account to join the scheme and to be able to receive the subsidy from LPG. There are many advantages of linking your Aadhaar Card to DBTL scheme:
- You will be issued with an advance paid straight into your bank account before buying your first LPG cylinder at market price
- You will receive the subsidy in your bank account according to your entitlement of cylinders at the subsidised cylinders.
How to link your Aadhaar Card with DBTL
